Happy Fall Y'all!!
It has been 6 wonderful weeks since our little girl was born!!
These precious weeks have gone by in the blink of an eye.
We feel so extraordinarily blessed to be Lexie's parents!
She is such an amazing baby!
We are so so in love with her!
It has been so much fun getting to know Lexie's likes/dislikes.
She has such a sweet, calm disposition! We love her so!
I have decided that the first 6 weeks are a HUGE learning curve.
You are getting to know your baby and your baby is getting to know you!
Between figuring out how to breastfeeding, changing more diapers than you ever thought possible and trying to sleep...babies are a full-time job! Although..no sweeter job to be had!
I have been reading BabyWise religiously and started implementing their ideas when Lexie turned one month old. She is doing great! The main idea of the book is that she eats/plays/sleeps on a flexible but regular schedule. Right now she is eating every 3 hours, playing for 20-30 minutes and then going down for a nap until her next feeding. She has even started sleeping a 5 hour stretch at night! (Of course Mommy & Daddy love this!!)
Here are some of Lexie's favorite things right now:
Going for rides in the car
Going for walks in her stroller
Her Bouncy Seat
Her Baby Einstein PlayMat
Listening to classical music while "dancing" away
Taking a bath
"Talking" to anyone who will listen and talk back
She loves to be held facing out so she can check out everything that the world has to offer
